Bluegum | Eucalyptus globulus subsp. globulus
Is pale straw to brown, often with blue-green tones. Its hardness and density make it particularly appropriate for flooring in high traffic areas.

Radiata pine | Pinus radiata
Pale cream to light brown, is widely used for a range of structural and decorative uses including framing, glue laminated beams, veneer & plywood.

Blackwood | Acacia melanoxylon
With tonings from light golden-brown to deep brown, this is the perfect timber for the creation of fine furniture and joinery.

Grades of Blackwood
Blackwood for appearance applications is available in two standard defined grades, Select (SEL) & High Feature (HF), and one industry grade, Black & White (B&W). The standard defined grades comply with rules set in Australian Standard, AS2796.2-2006:

Myrtle | Nothofagus cunninghamii
Rich red, red brown, and almost orange tones in much of the wood, makes an excellent veneer and finishing timber.

Clearfelling produces magnificent regrowth forests
Clearfelling is applied in Australia's wet eucalypt forest because it replicates the natural regeneration cycle. Eucalypts in this forest type have evolved to germinate quickly after wildfire and will not regrow in the shade of an existing forest.
